Daytona Bike Week 2010

Were you at Daytona BikeWeek??? We were and I will say Daytona Bike Week 2010 had a different feel to it.  Yes, it was cold, but that isn't what I mean.  More like a sign of the changing times our industry is going thru.

The sun was out and the wind was whipping as the trucks and trailers pulled into town.  Guest Celebrity Judge Roadside Marty martychrisvettegreeted us as we made our way to Willie's Tropical Tattoo to deliver the ApexCNC.com custom made trophies for the next days' event: Willie's Tropical Tattoo Chopper Show.  A truely unique chopper show that brings the best of the best out to play.  US builders, foreign photographers, old friends and new, gather for a day of Rock-a-billy music and REAL COOL Rides!  This year's show boasted 110 bikes, Willie said, and what a great one it was!  Flame throwing dressers and all.ittibitty2

Then it was off to the next fav spot in Daytona which is The Limp Nickie Lot. We found some cool finds like vintage belt buckles and sweet French Kissed paint jobs as the Cycle Source Magazine Bike Show kicked off.   In the Martini's Parking Lot (you know that is where I am set up) there was a Rod Show complete with a live band on the patio and all!

ratrodgreen Daytona BikeWeek brings in people from all over the world and the wonderful thing about that is getting to spend time with those people.  It is like your extending family reunion and it is a party!martyian

To sum it up, yes, we did Main Street and it was packed. But the best time was with those people that we do know very well at Bike Week, our peeps on two wheels holding it down til the next time we meet.
